Algorithms that decide, detect and alert.

Sol Naciente builds Encuéntrame, an app with a panic button, impact detection and alerts to emergency contacts, and Axis, an AI agent that dispatches fleets and orders. We test them with real users in an open beta.

The core

One core, two layers of resilience

Axis and Encuéntrame aren't two separate apps: they're two layers of the same critical-infrastructure system, built on the same core of autonomous decision-making, signal processing and geospatial correlation. One layer keeps logistics from stopping, the other gets an alert there in time. The BI Dashboard measures both with real usage data.

Axis

Logistics

AI-driven order dispatch. An agent chooses which driver takes each order and writes every decision to an auditable log.

Resilience layer · Axis

The agent that decides who takes each order

Every new order goes through an agent that chooses which driver gets priority and writes the decision to an auditable log. If the AI fails, the system does not stop: it drops a layer.

One phone is not enough to call an earthquake

We process the accelerometer signal with STA/LTA, a sustained-energy algorithm used in seismology, and require several independent devices to agree before validating an event.

Phone alert systems, such as Google's Android Earthquake Alerts, notify the person carrying the device. If that person is trapped or cannot ask for help, nobody else finds out. We also alert their contacts.

Thresholds still being calibrated: the contact alert chain is already tested end-to-end, what's still pending is validating detection against a real earthquake.

    SIGNAL

    Accelerometer and gyroscope, band-filtered.

    ALGORITHM

STA/LTA: sustained energy over background energy.

    VALIDATION

    Geographic correlation across independent devices.

    SCALE

Mercalli intensity using the USGS empirical relation (Wald et al., 1999).

    Frequently asked questions

What people ask most about Encuéntrame, Axis and the earthquake detector

    What is Sol Naciente?

It is a technology startup for critical infrastructure founded in 2026 in Venezuela and led by its founder, Yonathan Duque. It builds autonomous decision-making, signal processing and predictive analytics for critical infrastructure and urban resilience. It is in the Top 100 of the Build with Gemini XPRIZE, among more than 26,000 registered participants.

What is Encuéntrame and how does the panic button work?

Encuéntrame is a personal safety app. Its emergency button shares your live location and alerts your contacts. It also includes impact detection and an earthquake detector. It is in an open beta (open testing on Google Play).

    What is Axis?

Axis is an AI agent that decides which driver gets each order and leaves every decision in an auditable log. If Gemini fails, it falls back to a local heuristic and then to a base priority, so dispatch never stops.

    How does Encuéntrame detect earthquakes?

It processes the accelerometer signal with STA/LTA, a sustained-energy algorithm used in seismology, and requires several independent nearby phones to agree before validating an event. Thresholds are still being calibrated: the contact alert chain is tested end to end, but detection has not yet been validated against a real earthquake.

How is it different from phone alerts such as Android Earthquake Alerts?

Phone alerts notify the person carrying the device. If that person is trapped or cannot call for help, nobody else finds out. Encuéntrame also alerts their emergency contacts and a real-time panel.
